OREGON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Nebraska man collided with a snowplow earlier this week.
According to the Patrol, Timothy Henzel of Bellevue, 34, was southbound on I-29, eight miles south of Oregon at 1:31 p.m. Sunday in a 2003 Honda S2.
Authorities say he attempted to pass a 2007 GMC Sierra, driven by Tyson Gibbons, 46, of Tarkio. The Honda passed the GMC before striking a MoDOT snowplow in the passing lane.
The Honda skidded back into the driving lane, striking the GMC. Henzel was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries, along with a juvenile occupant from Lenexa, Kansas, who had minor injuries.
